Hey,
It's been a while but, here's a quick tutorial on creating a ring band. It covers the basics of using the Spin tool and the Mirror modifier. The techniques demonstrated can be used to create dishes, bottles, tires, etc.

Another fantastic, high quality video tutorial. Well done. I especially like the fact that you delved into the mirror modifier and showed some very interesting uses/results.
For some reason the quick review doesn't play for me though (viewing online).
Ok the quick review works for me now and...
It's the coolest thing I've ever seen in a video tutorial! One 3D Ring Band to rule them all... :D
It's great - thanks Kernon for another tutorial just when I thought the BlenderNewbies freezes :)
Quick review also works in my case (online) and it looks... quite amazing ;)
When I was watching it I realized that it would be great to see your tutorial about all modifiers, how to use them and when they might come in handy :)
Once again - great job!
Dude, really great tut.
Blender is going from NO documentation, to some really great resources of learning and getting beyond noob.
Thanks.
Thanks everybody! I appreciate it and I'm glad you liked it. There were some challenging technical issues with this one (non-Blender software-related). But, I've learned a few new tricks in overcoming the issues.
Thanks again!
Thank you very much for new tutorial. They are really getting better and better. Very professional, smooth, not boring and clear.
Thank you very much. Good work.

Perhaps you could tell us how you set up the materials for the animation you used in the introduction. Nice tutorial.
Here's the setup for the intro animation:

Every time I click on the "spin" button, I get a "wrong window" error. What do I have set incorrectly?
Do you have a 3d view open? The spin operation will take place relative to the viewing plane in the 3d view.
If you have more than one 3d view open, then the mousepointer will change to a question mark after pressing the spin button. At this point, you can select the 3d view that you want to use for the spin operation.
Hope that helps!
Awesome! That did it. Thanks for your help.
